| Opis: | Introduction: Quality of life is a multidimensional construct that encompasses different aspects of human life. It is related to individuals’ sense of well-being and their degree of life satisfaction. The aim of this study was to analyze sociodemographic determinants and their influence on quality of life in three municipalities in Colombia. Methodology: A cross-sectional study was conducted using a convenience sample of 1,147 participants from three cities. A sociodemographic questionnaire and the WHOQOL-BREF instrument were administered to assess quality of life. Descriptive statistics, a normality test, and Spearman’s correlation coefficient were used for data analysis. Results: A greater proportion of participants perceived their quality of life as good in the physical (60.5%) and psychological (52.7%) domains. Lower scores were observed in the social relationships and environmental domains. Significant associations were found across all four quality of life domains, primarily with age, educational level, and socioeconomic status. Conclusions: These findings indicate that certain sociodemographic variables are key determinants of individuals’ perceptions of their quality of life. |
