Descripción: | The AntiImperialist League of Costa Rica was a revolutionary organization linked to the Communist International, with political proceedings between 1926 and mid of the 30s. Their main activities were directed against U.S. economic penetration in the country and the local oligarchy linked to the export of coffee and bananas. Despite their initial proximity with APRA, and the conflicts arising from this situation, the Anti-Imperialist League of Costa Rica became a training school for future leaders of the Communist Party as college students Manuel Mora Valverde, Ricardo Coto Conde y Jaime Cerdas Mora. |
