| Description: | This article pretends to clarify the divergent overgeneralized realizations of the /r/ phoneme of Costa Rican Spanish, specifically in students from Universidad Nacional, Costa Rica. Moreover, real data concerning the factual use of this phoneme are to be got as well as a possible realization of retroflex variants in a given context. At a larger extent, throughout this research the effective and unique realization of /r/, excluding a retroflex consonant, as trill, flap and dental is measured. |
