Descrizione:The work wants approach to concepts of illustrated publicity and secularization; from experience that Santa Teresa convent lived in early XIX century, in Guatemala City. Thereby, the main objective is show the faith discords in a changes period, supported by newly established civil institutions. For this, the work is based on documentary sources that approach, specifically, to one nun: María Teresa Aycinena, because she became a relevant person for public life of the city and, more specifically, for climate of popular religiosity. Therefore, the discourse of civil institutions was moving from illustrated publicity of Ancien régime to secularization process, as a symptom of liberal advent.
