Descrizione:This paper presents the author's lecture on the first Eurasian globalization at a conference organized by the Department of Classical Philology at the University of Costa Rica. The 2nd century BCE to the 2nd century CE witnessed the emergence or development of new cultural spheres, which later became classical, and their corresponding languages, scripts, and schools of thought, particularly in the Greco-Roman world, India, and China.
