Descripción:Monitoring the professional development of university graduates and alumni is a process underdeveloped in Latin America, although it increasingly takes a leading place as other processes such as self-evaluation and accreditation of academic programs are strengthened. In addition, continuous improvements in the university education emerge as a new paradigm that seeks to correspond to the volatile job market to which new professionals are entering. And it is precisely their feedback that becomes a fundamental input for this objective. According to research on the B.A. in Psychology and Teaching in Psychology from the University of Costa Rica (UCR), this article offers a series of considerations and recommendations for the proper management of the follow-up of this population. This article aims to be a guide for careers in the process of continuous improvement in the accompaniment of their graduates and alumni. It exposes the main variables that must be taken into account in the development of monitoring, as well as the precautions to consider during the process.
