| Opis: | Abstract: This lecture is an invitation to do a critical analysis based on the Somos Familia Model from Fundación Paniamor, in order to promote a parenting approach centered in children’s needs, desires and capacities. In line with this objective, the ideas and principles of the children’s rights approach, the new childhood paradigm and the respectful parenting approach are added, supporting that the secure attachment and empathetic parenting are the foundations to develop a civic agency from early childhood. Simultaneously, this analysis reinforces that removing physical punishment and humiliating treatment are only one step towards respectful parenting, since it also requires the real participation of children |
