Περιγραφή:Primary and secondary sources have been reviewed to better understand the descriptions, popular traditions, and changes associated with the historical geological processes of the Central American region, such as: earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, floods, and landslides. It was determined that all of the above events have caused the relocation of cities. As to the traditions related to these events, it was found that for centuries these have been deemed as divine punishment. Furthermore, it was considered that volcanoes were the cause of earthquakes and that climatic changes were closely related to earthquakes as well.
