Descripción:  In this paper I am interested in placing the work of Carmen Mondragón (1893-1978), better known as Nahui Olin, in the esoteric context—known globally as “western esotericism”—with a greater degree of historical and hermeneutic accuracy, to explain the semantic contents that critics have understood as “ultraistas”, “weird” or “surrealist”. It will be seen how despite relying on some concepts from esoteric traditions, these are misaligned through her feminine experience. With this study a second objective is achieved: to help build the vein of esoterological research on women’s writings (relatively recent in English) in the Mexican field.
