Descripción: | Studying the work The Universe of Quetzalcoatl (1962) by archaeologist and anthropologist Laurette Séjourné (1911-2003), this article outlines the presence of some esoteric motifs in her reading of the figure of Quetzalcoatl. Through the analysis of this book, it is tracked the presence of alchemy (from is re-elaboration by the hermeneutics of the Circle of Eranos), the Prisca Theologia, the natural philosophy of Paracelsus and the theosophy of Jacob Böhme in his interpretation of the mythology of “primitives” as an alternative to reconcile reason and spirit. |
