Disgrifiad:This paper reviews the production of contemporary Central American documentary films made by women, focusing on the concepts of spatiality, postmemory and opacity. From an analytical viewing of the works and in depth interviews (to the directors and experts), it brings forward a commentary of the documentaries Los Ofendidos and El Silencio del Topo by Marcela Zamora and Anaïs Taracena, respectively. It examines the importance of testimony, the return to spaces as an act of memory, the film and journalistic archive, and revisiting the  events. Some of the findings of this analysis are the evidence that both documentaries offer a plurality of voices that allows us to reclaim an alternative story of a past that has been difficult to access.
