Descripción: | This article presents a comparative analysis of environmental conflicts caused by Bellavista and Crucitas mega-mining projects, with an emphasis on the way collective action emerged and influenced on development of each conflict and the final solutions. Thus, it is been shown that Costarrican State was more interested in economic growth than in conservation of the environment, ecologist sectors directed the collective action which was essential to generate changes in the projects and reach conflict´s final solutions. |
