Descripción:Julio Valle Castillo’s poetic work has experienced important changes, so much in the formal level as in the ideological one. In El libro de los músicos y de los locos —texts written between 1984 and 1998—the author explores the human life and the Nicaraguan historical and cultural context by means of diverse codes and speeches, finally building the icon of a disenchanted society that lacks of defined projects to guide his progress. However, in Lienzo del Pajaritero (Poemas para una traza de la danza, 1990-2002) (2003) Valle Castillo assumes a different position that allows him to recover the tradition and the essential elements of the past to propose it like a resistance form over the current disenchant. In this article, those rhetorical and enunciative resources used by the author are determined to focus the reality from a new perspective contributing to the analysis and discussion of the Nicaraguan identity.
