This fact brings serious problems for linguists: What is representative? How we should deal with this global data? Lexicography has always dealt with words, with the difference between know them and understand them. Contemporary Lexicography thinks about the internal logic of language. It questions itself because Lexicography as a science intents to describe and explain in order to reproduce the phenomena. |
