Descripción: | The following article presents an overview of the indigenous policies developed in the last half-century by Costa Rican governments, as well as the reactions to them of some groups of the indigenous population of the country. The authors emphasize the inefficacy of the existing model and the need of establishing new channels and attitudes in the political and institutional relationship between the State and indigenous peoples. |
