Deskribapena:Traditionally, under the Spanish Law, sex has been considered as a civil status, with the consequent implications of its application in the legal system. However, the evolution of the legal system has modified such consideration. On the one hand, the stability and permanence of sex as a condition of the person have been altered over the last years. On the other hand, the equalization of the abilities to act of men and women and the progressive tendency toward equality have diminished the legal relevance of sex. All this has significantly undermined its condition as a civil status. Despite that, over the last years, there are new regulations providing a new dimension to the legal relevance of sex.
