Descripción:The results of the investigation, “The social-educational proposal about human sexual- ity for elderly persons”, completed between May 2005 and June 2006 in la Clínica Solón Núñez Frutos of la Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social are presented in this article. This proposal specifically refers to the creation of a program about human sexuality, concomitantly with a group of elderly persons, from a biological, psychological and social approach that differs from the traditional and strict approach. To gather information, semi-structured interviews applied individually and social-educational group sessions developed by means of an andragogic model were used. Among the discoveries of the study, the existence of myths, fears and a reduced concept of human sexuality were highlighted, as well as the need of having periods of time for addressing in group form the sexuality of elderly people. At the end of the theoretical-practical experience, a strong group consolidation that operated as an essential component to accomplish the proposed objectives was achieved.
