Descripción:This paper seeks to build bridges between the discursive relations of the emblem, the reference, and the Masonic symbolic phenomenon. The goal ‒from the perspective of cultural history, art history and semiotics‒ is to reflect on the processes of integration and resistance within esoteric traditions in testimonies such as books of emblems, liturgies, and masonic manuals, based on the Ibero-American heritage. It has two large sections:  the first is an account of the study of the emblematic and the second is an analysis of the emblematic content of Andrés Cassard’s Manual de Masonería.
