Continuous training in the technical processing of information in the School of Library and Information Sciences of the University of Costa Rica

| תיאור: | This study describes the continuous training process in technical information processing of the training courses in the subject of technical information processing that were offered by the School of Library and Information Sciences (EBCI) of the University of Costa Rich (UCR). The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact that these courses had on librarianship professionals and what was the evolution and methodological didactic approach of the same. The focus of this research is qualitative and descriptive, for which a questionnaire provided by the Vice Rector for Social Action of the UCR was used as an evaluation instrument, in which aspects associated with the methodology and didactic resources used were evaluated, the practical exercises developed, and the application of the knowledge acquired to the workplace. The study's population was of 432 people made up of library professionals from the Ministry of Public Education, other state institutions, as well as private institutions. The main conclusion that was reached was that the EBCI continues to promote the development of projects that make it possible to provide ongoing training programs to professionals who have already graduated, not only in the subject of technical processes, but also in other areas, considering the thematic trends that are emerging in the discipline. |
