Descripción: | This article comprises the results of a study which analyzes diverse management strategies used to implement a Math Syllabus for ninth grade students at the Liceo Santa Terista de Turrialba, part of Costa Rica´s public school system. The study examines the impact of the syllabus on the educational development of students and the different aspects that favor or curtail its implementation. The article also addresses the need to develop an institutional plan through a qualitative approach developed jointly with input from other members of the educational community. Such a plan should include strategies to minimize student shortcomings and limitations and transform these drawbacks into advantages. |
