| Descripción: | With the abolition of the Costa Rican Army in 1948, the facilities of the Bellavista Fort were destined as the new headquarters of the National Museum of Costa Rica, starting a tra- dition of transforming military forts, jails and police headquarters into museums, within a changing process of construction of nationality and the discourse of the Costa Rican civilian tradition. The “display” of patrimony and national values is also discussed. |
