Description:The film Medea (2016) by the Costa Rican filmmaker Alexandra Latishev Salazar deals with the discourse on the imaginary related to sexuality and motherhood in Costa Rica. Within the framework of humanistic thinking, the discussion of these issues is fundamental as it helps to generate empathy and solidarity towards the other, in this case, towards women whose motherhood is imposed as an imperative, linked to their biological condition.
