| Description: | Across his vast narrative work (novel and short story), colombian writer Gabriel García Márquez has represented different types of love. The purpose of this article is to analyze the strange kind of love that appears in the short story “El avión de la bella durmiente” in 12 cuentos peregrinos (1992) and a later version in the novel Memoria de mis putas tristes (2004). In fact, this kind of love for a sleeping woman, in spite of his great eroticism, excludes sex. |
