Popis:Currently in Costa Rica, to identify poor households, the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INEC) compares per capita household income against a calculated poverty line, which is based on the cost of the basic food basket. By using per capita household income as a benchmark, this method assumes that the basic needs of individuals within a household are the same.
