Descripción:This paper studies the link between income levels of households living in those aged 44 years and nutritional status of these. The survey data is a cross-sectional quantitative study, with descriptive and other analytical phase. It includes persons over 44 years of both sexes habitually resident in the cities of Villa Maria and Villa Nueva, situated in the Province of Cordoba, Argentina. In this paper we apply a correlation analysis between the income category, and nutritional status of older people (measured by body mass index). The mean BMI values were higher in late adults, and in this age group, greater in women. In older adults there were no significant differences between the sexes. There was a negative linear correlation of low intensity when combining BMI and age among both sexes. The average BMI in men was increasing as was above the income range, with a wide difference between the group that has no income and the perceived higher income. The nutritional status presented statistically significant correlation with household income only in males.
