Descripción:This article presents a proposal for teaching algebraic inequalities using the constructivist teaching approach. Considering the author’s teaching experience with high school students, some of the most common mistakes committed by students when solving exercises related to this topic have been established.  Also, some ideas for implementing a teaching proposal have been introduced from the revision of some documents and literature, which is expected to tackle the issue so that students analyze and discuss the concept, define the algorithm and put the concept into practice to solve problems. There are some specific examples that can be presented to the student population to make them understand the concepts, are referred to daily situations, so that the application of the topic to solve problems can be appreciated.
