Opis:This article analyzes the jurisprudence of the ConstitutionalChamber of the Supreme Court of Costa Rica on state powers to intervene the economy, the constitutional legitimacy and the limits of such intervention, based on the principle of a welfare state and the jurisprudence referring to the limits set forth by the law for free enterprise and open contracting rights as individual rights, based on the state powers to regulate the economic process.
