The importance of the social component in language learning: student’s perception of English language acquisition from a communicative paradigm

Descripción:Education must adapt to the many changes taking place in our society. The problem arises when teaching does not take into consideration the need to build learning from the integral development of students and, therefore, focus-es on purely curricular principles. Numerous studies focus this issue on the learning of English in compulsory education, highlighting the low communica-tive performance of students in this language, due to the lack of balance be-tween theory in practice and limited linguistic competence in discursive envi-ronments. Therefore, and in view of the repercussions this reality has on stu-dents, the main objective of this study is to establish a comparison between the teaching methodologies in the teaching of English
