Descripción: | During the second half of the XX Century, Central America lived a period of socio-political conflicts which led to internal wars in Nicaragua, El Salvador and Guatemala. Unequal agrarian structures are one of the major causes of these conflicts. Land concentration is maybe the principal cause the Guatemalan war lasted 40 years. Peace agreements were signed in 1996 recognizing the necessity of structural changes for building peace. In 2010, 14 years later the causes that produced conflict remain unchanged. |
