The research studies a neighborhood located near San José downtown, known as Hatillo 8, as a paradigmatic case to understand some architectural and urban elements characteristic of the urban structure in Costa Rica. The text briefly explains the qualitative methodological process and some theoretical statements on the production of space, appropriations and property.
