Descripción: | An isolated tooth of Equus cf. E. conversidens Owen is recorded for the first time from the UpperPleistocene of Costa Rica and Central America. This premolar was found with some molars of an unidentifiedruminant. This species is very common in the Pleistocene of North America and was firstly described for theValley of Mexico. The Costa Rican found represents the most austral distribution of the species. |
