Description:The review of human rights situation in El Salvador has become a necessary task, in light of the violence that has affected, mainly, the younger generation in recent years. Chapultepec Peace Agreement marked the end of a long armed conflict that left a painful balance of serious human rights violations The Peace Agreement signature gave hope and opened the way to new institutions for the reconstruction of the country. However, there is still a long way to achieve the full enjoyment of human rights, which goes through comprehensive attention to violence and the State's commitment to truth, the delivery of justice, reparation to victims and guarantees of non-repetition.
