Descripción:We are living a period of constant paradigmatic changes that can bring to the fore relevant issues such as abortion, lately controversial due to the different ways of thought, grouped within two main categories, conservative, with marked levels of morality, and feminist, which claims the right of woman to decide on her own body. Legislation and medical and legal practice in Costa Rica have opted for the first one, however, the protection of human rights has evolved, generating significant changes, one of which has undoubtedly been the technical standard for the medical procedure related to article 121 of the Criminal Code.
