| Описание: | Base on the cinematographic quote “El amante menguante” from Pedro Almodovar’s film Hable con ella (Talk to Her, 2002), this paper stablishes a relationship between Alicia (the main character) and Diótima from Plato’s El Banquete as female characters. I argue that the aesthetic power of Venus Rajada (Didi Huberman, 2005) appears in Almódovar’s films by presenting the lover (erastés) and the loved one (erómenos) to talk by her. On that scene of the film, the loved one is in the position for somebody to talk for her—a borderland wherein love calls for death and for disappearance. This essay proposes Alicia as Venus abierta that recalls the not so well known image of loving a sleeping girl (Allouch, 2005). |
