The Impact of the Global Crisis on the Argentine Economy

Deskribapena:The paper analyzes the effects of the 2008 global crisis on the Argentine economy from a foreign sector perspective. Following some experts on the subject, the hypothesis is that the crisis was not the only responsible for the pause of the growth initiated by 2003. In that sense, by the time the crisis exploded, a dynamic of local factors that started to erode the keys of the economic growth had already begun. And paradoxically some characteristics of the local economy, that at first glance could be considered negative, smoothed the crisis cognation-channels and limited the effects if the external shock. And together with the still solid macroeconomic situation allowedthe economy to recovered quickly. Nevertheless, that local situation has not been solved yet and may difficult the local economy future perspectives.
