Descripción:In Costa Rica, there is a noticeable reduction in water infiltration from precipitation. This phenomenon has increased water runoff. Such alteration of the hydrological cycle, impacting aquifer recharge, is present across the country, but it is more visible in coastal zones with high seasonality such as the Corredor Biológico Pájaro Campana area. This work was carried out, in such geographical area, to evaluate the impact of a sensibilization process on school children based on the conceptualization and promotion of a topic called water sowing. Activities included a theoretical-practical workshop focused on rainwater management in school infrastructure whose impact was subsequently evaluated with a pre/post test. The workshop used didactic strategies adapted to children and resulted in an effectivemanner to promote infiltration and aquifer recharge, which have a direct effect on water runoff.
