Descripción:Floating capacity for fishmeals is determined by the chemical and physical characteristicsof the raw materials, industrial process and handling postmanufacture. With such diversity of factors, it becomes necessaryto determine at least, the physical quality of the feed,in order to verify if the amount of feed is adequate to thefish.s biomass requirements in each pond. Based on this, thisexperiment was proposed to determine if the measuring methodologyhad repeatability. Based on the results it was concludedthat the process is effective if at least two formulas areevaluated and that it is convenient to set a five minutes observationperiod to evaluate floating capacity of the pellets. It isrecommended to continue conducting studies to evaluate thephysical quality of more rations and sources and specially, trythe evaluations in different water volumes in containers ofvarying diameter.
