Opis:Population ageing is a global reality, and it is a huge challenge to public policy design. This is accompanied by an increase in the care needs of the elderly. This paper aims to work on the strategies of caring for the elderly in the light of distinguishing between isolation and loneliness in the epidemiological context of coronavirus. This distinction allows us to work on isolation and its potency as a policy of social care in pandemic context taking into account the loneliness as an effect to avoid. The relationship between isolation and loneliness is not linear, thanks to the great transformative power of incorporating new technologies. It is concluded that it is important to consider isolation as a key to care policy. The current pandemic incorporates new necessity ways of socialization and care and makes it possible to problematize the modalities of providing care for the elderly with devices that exceed the familiarists.
