Description:From the mythical symbolic perspective, the mountain does not represent a sacred place, but in Gallegos’ work LaColina, this space has been violated by the news about God’s death. The transgressions of an anti-natural moral dueto the deicide (Nietzche) seem to condemn the protagonists of this play to their absolute dissociation from the divine, fraternal and their own self, as well. However, the desire to reach transcendence and a final transfiguration, epiphany, avoids the ultimate loss-declining and returns the mountain its primordial sense.
