Identification and conduct of domestic violence against women from the perspective of university students

| Descripción: | To describe the knowledge of university students in the identification and conduct of domestic violence against women. This is a descriptive and exploratory study with a qualitative approach, carried out with 32 students who studied the last two semesters of undergraduate courses in physiotherapy, nursing, dentistry and medicine. The data analysis technique was used for the data collection of the semi-structured interview and for data analysis. The data showed that university students present incipient knowledge about the identification and conduct of domestic violence against women, in addition to pointing out the feeling of unpreparedness in the identification and management of this aggravation. It is concluded that university students in the undergraduate health courses, still in their training process, need to have a more in-depth knowledge about the subject of domestic violence against women in a transdisciplinary way, with skills and abilities that the enable them to act in the confrontation and referral of women in situations of violence. |
