Descripción:This study presents a series of business variables and indicators that provide an overview of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in various districts and cantons of the Central Pacific region: Puntarenas, Barranca, Chacarita, El Roble, Esparza, Montes de Oro, Orotina and Jacó. Variables such as type of activity, income level, years in business, administrative processes, use of technology and training needs, amongst others, are measured. The aim of this study is to assess the business situation of MSMEs in order to identify weaknesses and strengths that will enable the development of strategies to increase their competitiveness.
