Descripción: | The progressive conditioning exercised by security approaches on current criminal policies is not limited to strictly criminal matters related to crime or criminal justice as a whole; it extends to non-criminal areas that, nonetheless, are considered as a source of relevant risk to the community. For years, one of those non-criminal matters that is of interest to the criminal system is people mobility because crime globalization is associated with migration, another timeless phenomenon. This is no longer perceived as an economic or political phenomenon, as it has come to the forefront of security policies in most territories, and the mechanisms to address it begin to be a commonplace within this perspective. Therefore, a comparative analysis between the situation and the responses being adopted in two different regions is made from both the migratory point of view and criminal phenomenology, such as the European continent and the Latin American region, in order to identify the influence that the security approaches are generating in the legal and operational developments of migratory management. |
