Description:The purpose of this article is explain through many cases, the relevance of the diplomacy of water in foreign affairs. The territorial dispute in the Bravo river between Mexico and the United States is analyzed trough the Treaty of 1944. As background complement, this investigation also analyzes two study cases (the case of the Mekong River and the case of the South China Sea), with the objective of suggesting solutions for future problems based on the already existing investigations.
