| Disgrifiad: | In this paper we study the importance of flamenco as a transmitter of Spanish classical poetry, in a time when poetry reading is scarce. Analyzing the “Romance del Amargo” by García Lorca, that Camarón de la Isla sings in flamenco, we will be able to see how the poetic text is transformed and enriched when musicalized. |
