Descripción:Higher education in Honduras has made notable progress in recent years. However, it needs better mechanisms of access, permanence and graduation for the students in vulnerable condition. It is a priority to create national and institutional policies of attention to diversity, which originate through proposals from the different groups that participate in the education system. The objective of this article is to describe the current situation of attention to diversity in Honduras higher education. The proposal of this work allows to present the context of people in disability condition, indigenous, Afro-Honduran peoples and sexual diversity. The information explored comes from the review of bibliographic evidences. The results allow to expose that the weak normative framework in the Honduran legislation is a determining factor for there to be diverse situations of discrimination and exclusion since the educational system. For this reason, university teachers must be aware of their pedagogical practice and constantly examine it to generate changes that begin from the type of language used to the methodological components that are part of the teaching-learning process in higher education.
