Descripción:This paper analyses the links of military elites to Freemasonry in El Salvador from 1931 to 1953. Military-led governments in the country were continuously in power for nearly 50 years of the 20th century. There is evidence showing that certain members of the military were active Freemasons. Some of them even became presidents of the Republic. In this paper, it will be possible to briefly observe the vision that some military Masons had of the events of their time, among them, the Second World War or the Spanish Civil War.
