Descripción: | Prosopography enables scholars to know not only who the masons were from a sociological point of view (social characteristics and traits), but also provides information on the dynamics and individual and group social praxis. Therefore, with prosopography it is possible to build collective biographies of public and associative life of the masons. This approach explores the relationships between the structure and social dynamics of the group of masons, and to the social reality and the historical context in which they developed. The following work explains the prosopographical method and interpretation of its results according to the theory of social networks, based on the experience of research on Freemasonry in Costa Rica. |
