Descripción:This paper explores the figure of Carlos Conforti, one of the most emblematic political leaders of Freemasonry and freethinkers in Argentina, at the beginning of the 20th Century. Thus, on the one hand, study Conforti’s role as a political channel for the secular demands of freethinkers and freemasons, and on the other, deepen the analysis of the critical situation that the Freethinking and the Freemasonry was going through, over the Centennial celebrations of the 1812 May Revolution in Argentina. This is mainly researched from the study of Masonic sources.
