The role of interdisciplinary work between psychology and law in addressing violence in intimate partner relationships: an analysis based on an intervention process

Descripción:This article analyzes the importance of interdisciplinary work in addressing violence in intimate partner relationships, through the analysis of an experience carried out under the modality of Directed Practice to obtain a degree in Psychology, at the Consultorio Jurídico de la Universidad de Costa Rica, Defensoría de los Habitantes. From the results obtained, it is possible to identify that the risk factors of femicide to the 13 women attended decreased thanks to the interdisciplinary work between Psychology and Law. Thus, it is concluded that in order to address violence it is necessary to work in an interdisciplinary manner in order to build safer spaces for care and strategies to reduce the risk of femicide.
