Descripción:Sex work is one of the professions that is usually related to the use of substances by those who exercise it. The purpose of this study was to establish whether such consumption is used as a coping strategy in the face of stress, anxiety and depression. Using a quantitative  methodology, a group of sex workers belonging to the La Sala Association were evaluated. It was found that the consumption of substances is one of the strategies used to deal with the perks of the profession, but it is not an end in itself.
